About Our Parish

We are a community of Eastern Orthodox Christians who serve under the Greek Metropolis of Denver. All Holy Spirit was started in May 2006, initially under our Mission Parish name Greek Orthodox Church of Greater Omaha, and is actively organizing a new, dynamic parish with a total focus on service to the Lord, outreach and growth.

Mission & Emphasis

To be faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a life of repentance and worship, and attaining the gift of the Holy Spirit

Our Vision & Values

To live our lives with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and selfcontrol, all of which are the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Strategy

To be a dynamic and welcoming Greek Orthodox community dedicated to inspiring and prayerful worship, growth of the Orthodox Christian faith, quality and lifelong religious education for all, and loving service to those in need, in this being faithful witnesses to the Tradition and inheritance of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.

Long Term Goal

All Holy Spirit is seeing growth as we Evangelize and increase our efforts to reach out to Omaha metropolitan area. We currently have over 90 families registered to the parish, who are dedicated to building a Pan-Orthodox parish in Omaha. We are in the process of acquiring land in West Omaha, as part of our forward thinking committment to growth.

The Council in Crete

Monday, February 26

6:30pm

St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church

Fifty years in the planning, what was to be heralded by Orthodox Christians around the world as the Holy and Great Council of the Orthodox Church was convened by the Ecumenical Patriarch of the Orthodox Church, June 19-26, 2016, in Kolymvari, Crete.

While all autocephalous Orthodox churches were summoned, for various reasons not all chose to send official representatives. Among the documents issued by the Council, the document on ecumenism has proved to be the most controversial. All Holy Spirit (Greek) and St. Nicholas (Serbian) Orthodox churches cordially invite you to hear Orthodox theologian Professor George Demacopoulos's frank and expert discussion on this important topic. Light refreshments provided. For more information, contact Dr. Nicolae Roddy, Professor of Theology, nroddy@creighton.edu

Our Faith

The Church
The life of the Orthodox Church perpetuates and fulfills the ministry of Jesus Christ. The close association between Christ and His Church is reflected in the images from the Scriptures which declare that Christ is the Head and the Church is His Body, and that Christ is the Bridegroom and the Church is His bride.
